Wesley Warden Loose, age 72, of Chilton, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at his home in Chilton. He was born June 7, 1940 in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Elmer & Gertrude (Lau) Loose. He attended Trinity Lutheran School in Rantoul and after reading all of the books in the library during his high school career, he attended Fox Valley Technical College where he earned his Millwright Card. Wes proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was privileged to be a chauffer from the Pentagon. He was honored to have driven for General Douglas MacArthur's funeral, and President Johnson's Inauguration. Following his honorable service, Wesley married Evelyn Kratz on April 1, 1967 at Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. During his life, Wes worked for Chilton Products for 43 years, 7 months, and 22 days until he began enjoying his retirement in 1998. A short time later, he began working part time for Vande Hey Brantmeier between 2002 and 2010. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul where he had been baptized and confirmed, and was a past member of St. Martin Lutheran Church. He also belonged to the Chilton VFW Post 3153. Wes was a voracious reader who enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending as much time as possible with his beloved grandchildren. He was a man of integrity with a true heart of gold; Wes would go out of his way to help those around him and make their lives and circumstances better. Wesley loved his life, and knew that it was truly a gift from God, which he treasured as such. Survivors include his wife of 45 years: Evelyn; 3 children: Kim (Andrew) Schnell of Kiel, ... I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
