Tribute & Message From The Family

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Wesley by adding your memories and photos.

Wesley Warden Loose, age 72, of Chilton, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at his home in Chilton. He was born June 7, 1940 in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Elmer & Gertrude (Lau) Loose. He attended Trinity Lutheran School in Rantoul and after reading all of the books in the library during his high school career, he attended Fox Valley Technical College where he earned his Millwright Card. Wes proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was privileged to be a chauffer from the Pentagon. He was honored to have driven for General Douglas MacArthur's funeral, and President Johnson's Inauguration. Following his honorable service, Wesley married Evelyn Kratz on April 1, 1967 at Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. During his life, Wes worked for Chilton Products for 43 years, 7 months, and 22 days until he began enjoying his retirement in 1998. A short time later, he began working part time for Vande Hey Brantmeier between 2002 and 2010. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul where he had been baptized and confirmed, and was a past member of St. Martin Lutheran Church. He also belonged to the Chilton VFW Post 3153. Wes was a voracious reader who enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending as much time as possible with his beloved grandchildren. He was a man of integrity with a true heart of gold; Wes would go out of his way to help those around him and make their lives and circumstances better. Wesley loved his life, and knew that it was truly a gift from God, which he treasured as such. Survivors include his wife of 45 years: Evelyn; 3 children: Kim (Andrew) Schnell of Kiel, Kevin (Kim) Loose of DePere, Kay (Nathan) Ruh of Chilton; 8 grandchildren: Amber, Bethany, Tiffany, Alexandra, Arianna, Kyler, Nicholas, Selena; 3 great grandchildren: Serenity, Lily, Piper; 2 brothers: Rodney (Vera) Loose of Colorado, Duane (Karen) Loose of Brillion; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Art Kratz of Brillion, Ralph Kratz of Manitowoc, Bernice Behnke of Brillion, Lillian Mangin of Manitowoc, Norbert Kratz of Brillion; and his beloved little dog: Foxey. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: Darrell Loose. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul with the Rev. Tim Benninghoff and Rev. Wayne Huebner officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm on Saturday, September 1, 2012. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Wesley W. Loose. The family would like to thank Karen and the Calumet County Hospice, as well as Dr. Goggins and his staff for all of the loving care that they provided. They would also like to thank Rev. Huebner and Rev. Benninghoff for the visits and prayers and Pastoral care.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.

Months before Kim was Born Wes & Evie visited us in ElPaso Texas. (Wes had training and Evie stated with us.) Not very sure if Evie enjoyed her stay as she was the color of a LOBSTER on the front side.
When the 2 sisters and their family visited Pat & I in Rapid City South Dakota . Wes kept asking where the buffalo where.
Aunty Evie "Now that sounds weird my being 60 yrs old but that is just what you were", Aunty Evie and Uncle WES. With a voice and laugh like yours how could anybody not recognize it, but every time you call you always ask... "do you know who this is.." Evie Wes and you were made for each other. One just has too look at your pictures to see that, as family we all saw it in person. I will miss the 2 of you together but I'm sure you'll keep his memory alive. God Bless you and your Family.
