Eleanore Zeamer, age 78, of Hilbert, died on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her home in Hilbert. She was born June 26, 1933 in Wood County, daughter of the late George & Elvira (Mahnke) Labs. Eleanore was baptized in Christ August 7, 1933 in the Town of Port Edward in Wood County Wisconsin. Her sponsors were Anna (Ted) Mahnke, Gilbert and Hattie Mahnke. Eleanore was confirmed in faith, June 27, 1948 at St. Bartholomew Church in Brillion. Her Bible Verse was 1 John 2:15. Eleanore married Harold Zeamer on June 9, 1951 at St. Bartholomew Church in Brillion; the couple celebrated 60 years of marriage. Eleanore and Harold first farmed in the Town of Rockland and later moved to West DePere area until 1961. They moved to Chilton where Eleanore worked at Aluminum Specialty for 2 years, babysat her and other family's children. Eleanore also had part-time jobs at Larson Cleaners in Chilton, the Altona Night Club, and at Orth Diner in New Holstein as a dishwasher. Eleanore and Harold also delivered the Sheboygan Press paper for many years and cleaned the Commercial Bank and the New Hope Center together. Eleanore also drove for the Calumet Aging & Disablilty Resource Center for 35 years. She also delivered Meals on Wheels in the Hilbert area and served as a dishwasher for the last few years at Hilbert High School. In her spare time, Eleanore took time to lovingly make baby blankets, embroidered towels and dresser scarves. She was always eager to learn and loved to learn new stitches. Survivors include her children: Grace (Dennis) Nennig of Kiel, David (Jackie) Zeamer of Chilton, Diane (Judd) Roehrig of Hilbert, Joyce (Gary) Meyer of Kiel, Pearl Zeamer of Hilbert, Albert Zeamer of St. Frances; 10 grandchildren: Cary, Christopher, James (Rebecca) Nennig, Kelly (Eric) Fhlug, Katie (Kyle) Schneider, Kory Zeamer, Jennifer (Scott) Peters, Renee (Jonah) Kilty, Tammy (Jeremy) Aschenbach, Tyler Meyer, 3 step-grandchildren: David Nennig, Chad, Cory Roehrig; 7 great-grandchildren with another to be arriving soon: Payton & Lilianna Nennig, Landon Fhlug, Alyssa Schneider, Blake Peters, Evan, Ethan Aschenbach; 3 step-great-grandchildren: Devin, Kaitlyn Roehrig, Noelle Aschenbach; a sister: Florence Genz of Green Bay, and 2 sisters-in-law: Elva Zeamer of Green Bay and Rosella Labs of Greenleaf. Eleanore was preceded in death by her husband: Harold, her parents: George & Elvira Labs, an infant son; her brother: Robert Labs; her in-laws: Henry & Josephine Zeamer; 2 brothers-in-law: Herbert Zeamer, Walter Genz, Jr.; and a sister-in-law: Florence Zeamer. Funeral service will be at 4:00 PM on Friday, March 9, 2012 at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton with the Rev. Brian Crane officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in DePere. Friends may call at the church from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM on Friday, March 9, 2012.
