Eugene W. "Gene" Telschow, age 78, of St. Cloud, died on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
Gene was born on August 25th, 1934 in Fenmore Wisconsin and married his high school sweetheart Sharon Clifton on December 12, 1953. He loved his wife dearly, and shared a very blessed life together.

He was a member of First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan before moving to St. Cloud and joining the Gloria Dei Church in Kiel, where he has worshipped for the the last 25 years. He worked for Badger Freightways in Sheboygan for 28 years. He then worked for Holland trucking until his retirement.

Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening, and the Green Bay Packers, but his pride and joy were his grandkids; Grandpa T was at every basketball game, every cross country meet, and will forever be one of the greatest Oostburg Dutchmen fans.

Everyone knew Grandpa T, and loved him just as much as we did. Gene also enjoyed vacations to Georgia, and Alaska for his 50th Anniversary, and countless trips to Eagle River.

Survivors include his wife: Sharon of St. Cloud; 3 children: Debbie Kohl of Marietta, GA, Jeanne (Dr. Henry) Lewis of Gainsville, GA, Kevin (Lori) Telschow of Oostburg; 6 grandchildren: Kyle Lewis, Zachary Telschow, Kady (Adam) Magnuson, Abby Telschow, Karly Telschow and her fiancé Jason Croate, Andrew Telschow; 3 Step-Grandchildren: Henry Lewis, Steven Lewis, Matthew Lewis and their children; 2 sisters: Janet (Don) Clickner, Joyce Sewre, a sister-in-law: Sandy (Ray) Gross; and 3 brothers-in-law: Aaron Clifton, Scott (Sharon) Clifton, & Steve Clifton.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter & Frieda (Bartelt) Telschow and his step father: Carl Marquardt.

Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in New Holstein. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am until 12:15 pm.
