Glen Myron Jandrey, age 64, of Chilton, died on Sunday October 28, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born May 9, 1948 in Fond du Lac, son of the late Myron &Vera (Lautenschlaeger) Jandrey. He married Rita Woelfel on May 9, 1970 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert. He farmed his entire life in the Town of Charlestown and appreciated God's gift of his fruitful land. He was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church, the Quinney Fishing Club, and the Pontoul Hunting Club. He loved the great outdoors and valued the time he could spend at his cottage up north, hunting and fishing. He took an opportunity to raise foxes and raccoons, growing quite fond of the woodland creatures he cared for. Over the years, he acquired many close hunting buddies who were always eager to hear Glen's latest hunting or fishing tale. In more recent years, Glen happily took his grandchildren out fishing or ice fishing. Above all things, he cherished his family. Rita was the absolute love of his life, and he was fiercely proud of his daughter, Tammy; in Glen's eyes, she hung the moon. He is survived by his wife: Rita; his daughter: Tammy (Jay) Hertel of Charlottesville, VA; 2 grandchildren: Reese & Sonia; a brother: Larry (Kathy) Jandrey of Chilton; a sister: Bonnie (Jim) Smith of Menasha; sisters-in-law: Linda Frish of Manitowoc, Karen (Dick) Sohrweide of Chilton, Doris (Mike) Bennin of Chilton, Gladys (John) Michels of Chilton, Lois (Don) Schroeder of New Holstein, Sandy (Joe) Schumacher of Hilbert, Faye (Fritz) Wollersheim of New Holstein; brothers-in-law: Gene Woelfel and friend Kim Seefeld of Chilton, Don Woelfel of Hilbert, Dale Woelfel of Kimberly, Paul (Wendy) Woelfel of Chilton, John (Heather) Woelfel of Little Chute; and his beloved German Shorthair Hunting Dog, Mandy. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws: Herman & Sally Woelfel; and a brother-in-law: Ron Frish. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at St. Martin Lutheran Church (717 Memorial Dr.) in Chilton with the Rev. Wayne Huebner officiating. Burial will follow in the Charlestown Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 and on Thursday at the church from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Memorials are appreciated in the name of Glen M. Jandrey.
