Lucille M. Woelfel, age 93, of Chilton, died on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Woodlands Assisted Living in Fond du Lac. She was born April 4, 1918 in Chilton, daughter of the late Fred & Lucy (Hemauer) Ludwig. Lucille married Mark Woelfel on November 26, 1945 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton; he preceded her in death on May 6, 1951. Lucille was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Mary's Parish and worked at the John Butz Pharmacy in Chilton until her retirement. Following her retirement, she took time to travel and enjoy simple pleasures in life like word searches and sewing. Lucille was a friendly individual who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those around her. Throughout life, she took great care of her family in both body and soul. With her love and patience, she was able to develop a close and personal bond with her daughter and grandchildren; a bond so strong and meaningful that it cannot be broken, even in the face of death. Lucille's family holds tight to her wisdom, knowing full well that by the grace of God, "It'll all work out." Survivors include her daughter: Shirley (James) Luby of Fond du Lac; 3 grandchildren: Lori (Greg) Kraus of Atlanta, GA, Pam (Ryan) Gross of Fond du Lac, Jamie (Brian) Reetz of Verona; 4 great-grandchildren: Ashley, Abigail, Alexander Kraus, Kaden Gross; a niece: Kathy Ludwig of Milwaukee; and a nephew: Ken (Jennifer) Ludwig and their children, Katye & Evan of Milwaukee. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Mark; and a brother: Gilbert (Rola) Ludwig. Funeral service will be at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Chilton on Friday at 10:00 AM. Friends may call at the church from 4:00 PM until 5:45 PM on Thursday, February 9, 2012. Lucille's family would like to thank the entire staff of Woodlands Assisted Living and the Hospice Program of Agnesian Health for all of the wonderful, loving care which was provided to their beloved mother and grandmother. Memorials are appreciated in the name of Lucille M. Woelfel.
