Michael A. Sevela, age 58, of Edgewater, FL and Sherwood, died following complications from heart surgery. In 2003, he fought a battle with stage 4 esophageal cancer and through the Grace of God was given 9 extra years of life. Mike thoroughly enjoyed his last few years and his family is thankful for the extra time he was given to be with them on this Earth. He was born October 14, 1953 in Milwaukee, son of the late Joseph & June (Villnow) Sevela. He married Patricia A. "Patti" Roubik on September 13, 1975 in Milwaukee. Survivors include his wife: Patti; his children: Zachary M. (Sadie) Sevela of Sherwood, Nicole M. (Zachary) Welhouse of Little Chute; 4 grandchildren: Arius, Ezra, Willow & Calibor; and a sister: Susan (Thomas) Dineen of Milwaukee. Michael is further survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral service will be at 4:00 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (N349 Military Rd.) in Sherwood with the Rev. David Zimmerman officiating. Friends may call at the church from 2:00 pm until 3:45 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
