Ronald E. Swetlik, age 70, of Chilton, died peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his home. He was born May 30, 1942 in Manitowoc, son of Mildred (Paul) Swetlik and the late Emil Swetlik. Most recently, Ron had been driving school bus for Daun Bus Services and enjoyed every moment with the children who brightened his day. He also truly enjoyed hunting and taking fishing trips to Canada. Survivors include his wife of 19 years: Jean; his mother: Mildred; his children: Therese, Lori & Michael; step children: Jodi, Charles & Alan; a grandchild: James; 8 step-grandchildren: Kyle, Michael, Caitlyn, Luke, Isaac, Matthew, Nicholas & Joseph; his mother-in-law: Dorothy Walters; and a brother: Gary (Mary Ann) Swetlik. Ron is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Emil; his first wife: Dolores; a son: Mark; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Roy & Dorothy Meissner; his father-in-law: Victor Walters; and a brother: Jon. Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, December 28, 2012. Memorials given in the name of Ronald E. Swetlik are greatly appreciated.
